Here's some work I've done over the years.

Banshee Systems

This was the second-to-last incarnation of the website for my small business. It's about four years old, has absolutely awful HTML with tables and an iframe, but the backend is PHP pulling data from a MySQL database. Obviously this website would have worked even better just as static pages, but it was sort of a proof-of-concept. More fun to do it this way, too!

phpBB.com Team Map

When the phpBB.com teams had grown to an impressive size, we wanted to create an interactive map to demonstrate the international makeup of our group. This was my initial mockup of a map. Eventually the plan was to pull the data for the map from an external XML file, so only the XML would need to be updated.

The task was eventually assigned to another team member, so my work was never completed. I swear the "click to freeze/unfreeze map" actually did work at one point! I'd also made progress on the XML integration. So this must have been an older version left kicking around on my MacBook.

phpBB Visual Confirmation for Guests

When phpBB was released, visual confirmation was eventually added to combat bots registering as users. My modification added the feature for guest posting as well, adapting the existing code to work in a new environment.

The modification file follows strict coding and formatting guidelines so that it can be parsed by an automatic installation tool.

The release of phpBB 3.0 made this obsolete, and I no longer maintain it.
